If I place my order today when will I recieve it?

Orders placed before 2pm (EST) generally ship the same day. In the event of high order volume, the order will be shipped the following business day. (If you've ordered on a Friday your order will be processed on the next business day, being Monday)

At checkout:

-If you've selected Free Shipping or Priority Shipping ($6) then your package will be to you in 3-5 business days once it's processed.

-If you've selected Express Shipping ($14) then your package will be to you in 1-2 business days once it's processed.

Please Note: Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information as well as updated tracking emails until your order has been delivered.

The happiest time of the day! We have discounts on selected bundles, wigs, closu.... pretty much our entire store. It's also the perfect time to stock up on your favorite items while they're at their best pricing!

Can I change, edit, or cancel my order?

-We apologize, once an order is submitted it may not be canceled or refunded.  We encourage customers to their order details carefully before submitting their order. This includes changes to product, refunds, shipment methods, addresses, etc.

-Incorrect billing information and/or shipping to an address other than the billing address may cause shipping delays, as information must be verified. 

Please Note: Head of Beauty has the right to decline an order and issue a refund at our sole option. Confirmation of billing may be required and customer can/will be contacted via phone and email to complete.

What is the shipping policy?

At Head of Beauty we offer flat rate shipping and the rates are as follows for our United States customers:

$6 for Priority Shipping: 3-4 business days

$14 for Express Shipping: 1-2 business days

Free Shipping on orders over $200!!!

We are now accepting orders in Canada! The flat rate shipping option for our customers in Canada is $24.

Please note: Orders over $150 will automatically have signature requirements and cannot be modified, so please plan accordingly.

What is the return/exchange policy?

All sales are final and there are no refunds allowed on any grounds. Exchanges & returns may be accepted for store credit only, as long as hair extensions have not been cut, worn or tampered with in any way.

Exchanges & Returns

At Head of Beauty we are proud of the high quality hair extensions that we to offer, however, we understand there may be a case in which you need to return or exchange your hair. We are more than happy to accommodate returns/exchanges on products that are in resell-able condition.

The product must be sent back in the original packaging condition as it was when shipped from us, meaning it cannot be combed, washed, brushed, cut, worn, colored or altered in any way & the original ties must remain in tact as it was received by the customer.

Exchange/Return Requests

Customers are required to complete all requests within 7 days of receipt in order to qualify for an exchange or store credit for your order. Any return request not received within the specific time frame will be disqualified.

Send us an email (info@shopheadofbeauty.com) or message for your Exchange/Return Request with the following:

1. Order number

2. First/Last name

3. Phone number

4. Reason for the return/exchange 

Once we receive this, we'll give you instructions on starting your return/exchange.

*Due to the delicate nature of our lace products (lace wigs, lace closures, & lace frontals), they cannot be returned or exchanged for any reason.

*All sales are FINAL on Clearance & Sale items and no returns or exchanges will be accepted on these items.

For your protection, we suggest that all returns be sent back to us through a traceable postal carrier with signature. We are not responsible for lost items in transit. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs in a product return transaction. Once received and determined to be in resellable form, a store credit will be issued. If the item was purchased during a promotion that has ended, your new order will not qualify for the promotion in question.  Once store credit or a Gift Card is issued, it may not be redeemed as cash on any grounds.

My transaction declined, what do I do?

Cards decline all the time for various reasons so we suggest you consult with your bank prior to attempting another transaction.

Tip: Make sure you're entering in the correct billing address that's associated with your bank card. If you don't enter the correct billing address your card won't process the payment.

If you see a pending transaction on your card after being declined it will fall off; it's showing you attempted to make the transaction but not that the transaction was completed.

What happens to Undeliverable/Lost/Return to Sender packages?

If your package doesn't successfully deliver and is sent back to Head of Beauty, it's most likely due to insufficient address information. Your package will be returned and “Returned to Sender” will be stated on your tracking information.
This can happen if:
-The shipping address is incorrect or does not exist
-The shipping address is missing information (i.e. apt/bldg/suite number)
-The shipping address is misspelled by the customer
-The carrier is unable to safely deliver the package
-The addressee has moved
-The addressee has refused the package
Returned to Sender packages will be restocked and you will be issued store credit in the form of an E-Gift Card minus the initial shipping charge. We are unable to replace or reship in these instances as all returned shipments are processed by our Returns Department. Instead, please use the E-Gift Card to place a new order using the corrected address but please note that we do not guarantee your items will be in-stock at the time of your reorder.  We also do not guarantee that your item will be the same price as your original order.
Note: We are unable to make changes to orders that are placed on our system. To ensure that your package is properly delivered, make sure that your address is entered correctly and includes all relevant information. The use of correct abbreviations, street numbers, building or apartment numbers, and route information (if applicable) are critical to ensuring delivery.

How do I measure my bundles and lace products?

When you receive your curly and wavy bundles, it is very important to know what to expect. Upon arrival, your bundles may appear a bit shorter in length. Do not worry! The way that curly and wavy bundles measure are by pulling the curls straight. By pulling the hair straight, you will achieve the accurate length.  
When measuring your bundles, start by measuring from the weft and pull the measuring tape to the end of the strands.
-For example, our Kinky Curly hair in 22” on arrival may measure at 20”. Pull the hair straight and you will see that it is actually 22”. 

What are the main differences between Raw, Basic Virgin & Premium Virgin hair extensions?

Raw hair vs Virgin hair

Raw hair is 100% raw and unprocessed, majority sourced from India and Vietnam with cuticles running in the same direction making it extremely soft to the touch. The hair is cut and donated directly from one single donor to ensure it's completely pure. In summary, raw hair is:

  • Purest form of Hair Extensions on Today’s Market
  • Rare (this is why we sell out fast).
  • Every bundle has a unique appearance
  • Full cuticle hair
  • Mainly sourced from one donor.
  • Available hair textures are limited to natural hair patterns (I.e. natural wave, curly, straight)
  • Lasts longer (5+ years) because it gets better with every wash.
  • Typically more maintenance
  • Available only in natural blacks, browns, grays, reds (rare), and blondes (rare)

Virgin hair has been processed to achieve the texture pattern in efforts to mimic a particular hair style or pattern. Virgin hair on the market is typically silky, medium to high luster, and sourced from multiple donors.

  • Quality varies depending on distributor; more margin for false advertising
  • Every bundle is uniform due to hair being processed
  • Available hair textures are “endless”
  • Lasts up to one year with exceptional care
  • Cuticles may not always be in tact.
  • Hair feels good at first glance and may feel hard after 4th to 5th wash. Mostly the case when poor quality hair is used to produce hair.
  • Available in array of colors


Our Raw Hair

The best hair on the market! Yes, the cost for this hair is much more expensive but you really get what you pay for with this. Unfortunately, it's not as popular as the Premium or Basic because of the cost. 
This hair can easily color to a #613 or #60 with proper dying methods of a professional. 
If you have clients looking for the best with a bigger budget then this is for them!

Our Premium Virgin Hair

This is our best-selling hair at Head of Beauty and majority of our hair is Premium Virgin hair! 
The quality vs price is really hard to beat. The ratio of long hairs is really strong with the Premium hair. This meaning there are fewer short hairs in the bundle to give it a more full appearance. 
You can dye this hair but it's not recommended for colors over a #27 Honey Blonde. Anytime you are trying to dye hair to a real blonde we only suggest using raw hair. Is it possible, yes? We just don't recommend it.

Our Basic Virgin Hair

Not everyone can afford a Premium or Raw extensions. This is where the Basic bundles come in. They are very inexpensive that can still give great results. 
The actual hair quality is the same as the Premium but you will find a greater ratio of short hairs. The actual bundle weight is the same but it will still not have an as full appearance. 
This is the perfect hair for someone that is not planning on coloring, not looking to spend a lot, or doing a quick weave install where you are cutting the wefts and not worried about a re-install. 

How many bundles do I need?

For Curly, Wavy, and Kinky Hair Textures:

  • 12-14 inches: 2 or more bundles required
  • 16 inches: 2-3 or more bundles required
  • 18-22 inches: 3 or more bundles required
  • 24 & longer: 4 bundles of more bundles required

For Straight Hair Textures:

  • 12-14 inches: 2 or more bundles required
  • 16-18 inches: 3 or more bundles required
  • 20-24 inches: 4 or more bundles required
  • 26 & longer inches: 5-6  bundles or more required

Please Note: The number of bundles needed depends on the hair texture, the lengths, and desired fullness.

What is the difference between a closure and a frontal?

A closure covers the top front part of your head.  It is designed to cover the section of your head where your part will be. The bigger the closure, the more part coverage you'll have.  We carry 4 “by 4” and 5” by 5” Closures. All of our lace products are made with luxury HD lace & Transparent lace.

A lace frontal covers the entire front perimeter of your head from ear to ear.  Frontals have a dimension of 13 inches to 4 inches (13x4) and 13 inches to 6 inches (13x6). The versatility of frontals are endless because you are able to part it in any direction.  All of our lace products are made with luxury HD lace & Transparent lace.

What is the difference between HD Lace and Transparent Lace?

HD Lace (High Definition lace) is the thinnest and best lace you'll find on the market! As a result, HD lace will offer you the most undetectable applicaton with minimal customization needed. HD lace can be used by all skin tones. One thing to note is that HD lace is extremely delicate and will rip easily if not handled with care.

Transparent Lace sold at Head of Beauty offers a high quality Swiss lace that is light brown in color. This lace is not as thin as HD lace but is much more durable. To wear, transparent lace will need to be tinted using a lace tint or make up powder to match your skin tone One of the major benefits of transparent lace is its ability to be tinted to match any skin color.

Both lace types are excellent and will give you a fantastic installation!

Why does my hair seem shorter than what I ordered?

Please note: All hair is measured straight. 

This means you lose about 2-4 inches from certain textures ie. Kinky Curly, Afro Kinky, Exotic Wave Deep Wave. For example, 16 inches of Kinky Curly hair is 16 inches when straight, but roughly 13 inches due to the curl pattern.

Does the hair appear natural?

Very! The wind could blow; someone could touch your hair, swim, sauna, and spa. It is incredible and the hair is as light as a feather, no one will even know you have hair extensions.

I have fine hair, will this hair work for me?

Absolutely! Head of Beauty hair can be used by everyone; all ages & hair types. Please reach out if you need assistance with selecting the right hair for you.

Styling & Hair Care

What should I expect when I receive my hair?

How are Head of Beauty extensions and wigs installed?

Head of Beauty hair can be installed using several techniques. See a professional hair stylist for installation assistance.

Tip: Use the over and out method when installing your extensions. Although our wefts are custom designed for minimal shedding please refrain from piercing the wefts as this may affect the longevity of your extensions. Only cut your wefts when absolutely necessary as this may cause excess shedding. Although not required, you may seal your wefts using a high-quality weft sealant.

What are some daily hair care tips?

  1. Brush or comb through to style.  Starting from the ends keeps the pressure off the weft area and is a good way to maintain the longevity of the extensions.

  2. Apply an alcohol-free glossing polish or hair serum for shine and frizz control as needed. Excessive product may lead to stiff hair which may cause matting and tangling. When product has build-up, it is time for a conditioner only wash!  
  3. Always use heat protectant when heat styling to avoid damage. (For curly & wavy hair) keep in mind, excessive heat styling can alter the original curl/wave pattern and integrity of the hair (similar to your natural hair). 

How should I prep my hair for sleeping?

Straight & Wavy Hair

Before bed, put hair into a high ponytail or roll into a bun to enhance wave pattern. Apply satin scarf or bonnet to reduce frizz and fly-aways. For bouncy waves, style with flexi-rods. After waking up, remove overnight protection and comb through the hair beginning at the ends and working your way up. Style as needed. 

Curly Hair

Before going to bed, put hair up in a high ponytail or braid into large sections and wear a satin scarf or bonnet. This will help to maintain the curl pattern and reduce frizz while sleeping.  
Once you are ready to style your hair for the day remove your ponytail or braids and spray hair with water and conditioner mix to activate leave-in product. Section hair and brush from tips working your way up to the roots. Scrunch gently and allow to air dry. Avoid manipulation as this may cause excess frizz.  
Tip: You must NEVER sleep on wet hair! Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair that makes it very difficult to keep the hair the way you want. Just make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to sleep and you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

What are some weekly hair care tips?

-A conditioner only wash is recommended 2-3 times a week for curly hair and once (or as needed) for straight/wavy hair. This is to ensure your hair is retaining moisture and periodically cleansing any build-up that could cause matting or tangling.  

-Should your extensions need deep conditioning, we recommend using a thick deep conditioner containing smoothing properties to minimize unwanted frizz. 

-After your wash:

1. Dry with cotton hair towel, microfiber towel, or t-shirt as regular bath towels will cause excessive frizz. 

2. Apply dime sized amount of smoothing oil or glossing polish if desired to weigh down hair strands and minimize frizz throughout day. Allow to air dry. 

Tip: (For curly & wavy hair) Do not brush or comb hair when dry, it will cause hair to frizz and may cause hair to tangle.

-Between installs or once per month use an intensive hair masque or hot oil treatment to aid in the longevity of your extensions.  

Will the curls or waves revert back after I straighten, color, or wash my hair?

Absolutely, every piece of hair we carry is authentic natural hair that will react just like your natural growing hair.  Yes, all of our wavy and curly textures will always revert back to its natural state when washed. Your hair can also be straighten & colored with ease.  We do recommend the assistance of a professional colorist when coloring raw hair.
Tip: Use a higher volume developer in shorter increments when coloring raw hair.
Tip #2: You must NEVER sleep on wet hair. Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair that makes it very difficult to keep the hair the way you want.

Can I swim in salt or chlorine water while wearing hair extensions?

Yes, you can swim in salt or chlorine water. We ask that you wash and detangle your hair immediately after your swim.

We can't say it enough, you must NEVER sleep on wet hair! Sleeping on wet hair is known to matte hair that makes it very difficult to keep the hair the way you want. Just make sure your hair is completely dry before you go to sleep and you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
